Need some good vibes

I just found out that my uncle was in a motor cycle accident and smashed his face breaking almost every bone. He will require some extensive surgery when the swelling goes down. To top it off when they did an MRI they found a tumor or anyuerism (I know I destroyed that spelling) on his brain. He has to see a neuro surgeon about that. The worst part is that they have no medical insurance. My cousin (his daughter) is really more like the sister I never had. THey live in another state and I feel really helpless. Just please send you good thoughts and/or prayers if that's our thing. They need it desperately!

Oh My Gosh your family has been through the wringer. Their is a way around not having health insurance, a bunch of different programs that he can apply for. If you need some information about that let me know.

OMG Froggy, I'm so sorry to hear about this. We will be thinking and praying for your family!!!

As Jen and I'm sure some others mentioned, his medical bills are going to be VERY high and because of that he should qualify for state insurance. They pay for hospitalization and tests and such. Please have your family look into that. If they need help, email me about what State he lives in and I'll look up some info and email it back.

I would love any and all information about state programs that will help pay their bills! Obviously he cannot work right now and my aunt doesn't work. Even if she did she has to take care of him so she can't. They live in Oregon.

One of the first things to do is apply on a local level at the hospital that he is in, Every hospital that is medicaid certified has to have a charity care plan in effect.

Have him apply for charity care, that should help with all the hospital costs.
