I was just wondering if you can have a negative test and still have CF? He was sick with the flu the day he had it done, could that have affected the result? I really don't want him to be sick but he nhas 90% of the symptoms of cf.

What was the number for the sweat test? Was it done at an accreditted CF center? Also, how old is he? Not everyone is extra salty. DS had his sweat test at 3 or 4 weeks and his was a normal 32; however, today I would imagine those numbers would be quite a bit higher.

In the summer his hat turns white from the salt, my lips taste salty when I kiss his forehead, even right after he takes a bath.

Only way to know for sure is to have genetic blood testing done.
