As far as the eFlow, I'd love to have one, but I don't take any of the meds that would prove my case for one. Right now I just do a Albuterol, Mucomyst and Cromoly Sodium neb 2x day, and an Amikacin neb 2x a day</end quote>

You might not take meds to get the eFlow for <b> free </b> but that doesn't mean your insurance won't cover it with a co-pay.

The free eFlow way is for people whose insurance won't cover (which, by the way, is becomming more and more rare).

You never know unless you try.....

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> (which only takes 5 minutes).</end quote>

Remember the eFlow isn't just about time. It's about superior deposition of the med deeper into your lungs.

I hadn't really thought about that. Have you noticed a difference in your PFTs or cultures to mark the improvements this should make?

Also - I just talked to my clinic respiratory therapist and she says the Elite is ok to use, and in fact she orders it for use there.

I'll have to see how my July visit goes and compare the results (I have been pretty stable for the last couple of years, so any changes should be easy to see).

Best of luck to everyone else with never-ending compressor issues. Heres to hoping for a compressor that will last past 2 years <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

My FEV1 is 95%. So no, nothing different in that respect. With an FEV1 that high, I wouldn't expect much of a change.

But I did cough up a ton of plugs (visit my blog, scroll down to categories on the left hand side, and click on eFlow) at the beginning. I'm sure that will prevent some exacerbations and/or lung damange.

Cultures haven't changed either. But I'm 25. once bugs take hold, there's no getting rid of them no matter what treatment you're doing. So changes in cultures isn't a realistic expectation in my book.

At this stage in my lung health, I'm all about prevention. Preventing FEV1 deterioration, preventing exacerbations, keeping my PA at bay.

Prevention is the name of the CF game in 2007, and I think my eFlow is an intrigal part of my prevention game plan. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
