Somewhere here there is a link from the CFF indicating what machines and neb cups are ideal for pulmozyme and tobi. Both tobi and pulmozyme can be used with a pari proneb ultra, the devilbiss pulmoaide and the mobileaire.

Maybe the trek has changed, but I seem to recall issues with it overheating and issues with the particle size -- was it this also mentioned on noexcuses blog?

We had the Elite at one point and I seem to remember that it did not get up to enough PSI...the pulmoaide is awesome!!! the boys nebs go much faster with it then the elite. We had to push the RT to order the pulmoaide and had to show the documentation from Pari before they would order it for us. It must be more expensive than some of the other ones???

blessings,
missa

I just recently asked my respiratory therapist what neb cups I should be doing with what. Although the sidestream SAYS it's okay to use with Pulmozyme it really shouldn't be used with it. My RT was told this by an aerosolized scientist (or something along that title. . . he had his own lab where all he did was study aerosolized medicines) -- he did say that the sidestream could be used with HTS, and
albuterol.

As far as doing any type of antibiotic in the sidestream -- that's a no no (something I've been doing for years and never known! oops! And it's too bad, because the sidestreams are so easy to assemble and comfortable to use. darn) For any antibiotic (such as tobi, colistin, etc.) I use the Pari LC Star. I have been using the regular Pari? for pulmozyme.

Hope this helps!
