New here and from Iceland

Hi my name is Fríða and i have a litle girl whith CF and she also has a cardiac proplem. We went to Boston when María was 3 days (she is now 3 and a half month). Because she was so young she went trough the newborn screening and we found out that she had CF (DDF508) when she was waking op after her surgery - it was a big shock !

We had never even heard about CF an dhad no idea that we were carriers. María is one of 7 kids in Iceland that have CF ! But we have a great CF team here in children's hostpital in Reykjavík and we can call our CF doctor day and nigth and also our cardiac doctor.

To day we are so thankfull that she was diagnosed so young because we dont screen for CF in Iceland and if she would get sick it would always fall on her cardiac proplem.

The days after were such a rollercoaster and i did the mistake and whent on the internet and read all the horrorstory's But the CF team in children's hostpital in Boston saved our mentalhealth - the were so great !

And im so thankful to have found this site :=)
