Hi Haley! I don't really know what to tell you about the cleaning issues because luckily, I got a man who likes a clean house like I do. We have been living together for 9 years (married for 6) and other than him leaving his dirty clothes next to the bed instead of in the hamper that's like 2 feet away, he's pretty good about keeping things clean.

As for the stink when going to the bathroom, my hubby stinks too so there's no problem except for when people come over! For that we have an Air Wick Mini that I keep on the back of the toilet. It sends out a puff of the air freshener every 14 minutes (I think). You can set it to how often you want it to release the freshener. If you get done going to the bathroom and you need an extra burst of the freshener, there is a butt that you can push that will spray some out. We also keep our bathroom door open 24/7 so that the smell isn't trapped in there.

Febreeze gave me shortness of breath. My housekeeper was overseas taking care of family members who had been in a horrific accident for about 6 months, so we had an alternate housekeeper. Turns out this other person used Febreeze. i felt like crap and experienced SOB every week after the housekeeper was there. A rummage through the cabinets turned up the Febreeze.
