Hey-- I hate to make a new topic just for this, but I wanted to introduce myself. I came across this forum yesterday and after reading a few threads am really excited about it. A little bit about me-- I am a 22 year old with cystic fibrosis living in Denver. My health is better now than it was in my teens (I am taking better care of myself and also away from most of the germs I was exposed to in high school). I am living with my fiance, and like a lot of you, I am having the usual issues regarding health insurance and marriage. I love music, all types, and have worked at an indie record store off and on for the last five years. I write a lot. I'm passionate about gardening, cooking and other cheesy home-making things. I love all things relating to high fashion. I have a motorcycle (!) that I'm just learning to ride (1975 Honda CB350 named "Sissy"). My boyfriend and I have three cats, all of which I'm wild about. I have a morbid sense of humor, but a bright outlook on life.
I don't have a lot of friends I can talk to about things relating to my illness. Physical and emotional; the CFRD, severe sinusitis, arthritis, fatigue, etc. It is easier for me to discuss this sort of thing through the computer for some reason and while I am interested in being active on the board, but I would also like to have email contact with other adults with CF.
