Good luck to Parker and you as well, Jim. He is fortunate with how you are approaching this. He'll appreciate it some day! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I'm glad Parker got a chance to participate in the decision making process. You are teaching him to participate in his health care and make informed decisions after carefully considering all options. He'll have that skill for life!

Good luck to him with the procedure - it will likely not be a big deal at all. Our hospital had someone (social worker or outpatient specialist? ) come in right afte the procedure and she took our insurance info and set up the first delivery of supplies (bags, pump, formula, powdered enzyme, tube extensions (they connect the tubing on the bag to the tube in the tummy with a nice snug fit)...)

It had all arrived at our house by the time we got home from the hospital the next day.

Let us know how things go!

Can I just step in for another thought.....although the decision of which to do has been made,

The anxiety for him (or you) I am sure is not gone. Its all new so when its in & you are home doing your thing......communicate to him that its new to BOTH of you & you will get thru it together.

I do think its great that he had a say in the decision.
