When my husband and I were talking awhile back about some of the situations that people on this board are in where they are very sick and pretty much alone and how hard that must be. My husband had an idea of starting a nonprofit that would focus on "helping" with this. I think that he envisioned me or his mother flying to a hospital and sitting with someone to keep them company and arranging for others to do so. We were talking about it in the context of transplants, but really it could be for non-transplant people too. Obviously there would have to be protections so their would not be cross-contamination with bugs, etc., but what do you guys think? Do you think that is a worthwhile goal? It could even be arranging for cleaning services or meals, etc. for people. Thoughts???
