Nose Piercing

I have had my nose pierced for over 10 years with no problems. However, my CF doctor said that for transplant I would have to get rid of my nose, eyebrow, and bellybutton piercings.

why would that be? a healed piercing doesnt pose a risk. never heard of anyone having to permanently take a healed piercing out.
