OH that Pseudomonas smell!-how to get rid of it

After this last exacerbation I have noticed a really strong Pseudomonas smell in the room I do all my treatments. Anyone have suggestions how to get rid of it.
I had a really bad exacerbation with a bleed that got into the carpet. My husband has shampooed that spot but its still there. I know the carpet probably will have to be removed, but until I can afford it and need to get better first to deal with all that involves.

Hi,
This isn't great advice but this is what I do at my house. I light candles all the time, not for any specific reason. I just love them. And I use Fabreeze spray, it is pretty mild and doesn't make any sinus/allergy problems worse for me.
What about wiping things down with Lysol spray (in a good scent).
Other than that, I'm not sure. But at least candles will 'mask' the smell until you can do something about the carpet.

Lysol's Green Apple actually smells kinda good. Hydrogen Peroxide gets blood out really well, but I don't know it it will work after the shampooing. You could try the Woolite Oxy Deep Cleaner (it's at Walmart, in a blue and red spray bottle), it might help. Fabreeze may be your best bet (though it may take a few treatments) since you can spray it pretty much anywhere. You might want to try an enzyme spray too, like they sell for cat and dog oops. (Simple Solution, Nature's Miracle) I've used the Simple Solution for the cat pee, and it works really well- the smell is all gone, even to the cats.

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Hey everybody , I found my own solution
I put a little Hydrogen peroxide in the rug shampooer with the detergent, re shampooed it a couple times. over a 2 day period to allow the blood to come up to the top. Then the final treatment that worked, brewed up some cinnamon tea and added extra cinnamon too and put that in the detergent container in the last shampoo/wash. That seemed to have done the trick. I smell nothing at all now! I had remembered that cinnamon is supposed to be an anti-bacterial. It makes everything smell good too!

I'm confused too. I think if I had a smell, and of all people I certainly would, others could smell it. No one mentions any smell and I can't smell anything, but I cough up tons of crap every day, and sometimes it gets on other things such as carpet. I quickly clean it but I've never problems with smell. knock on wood.

You guys must have a different strain.
