I'm usually on Zithromax and Bactrim for preventative and then Tobi every other month. When I catch a cold or something I go on Cipro for a week to see if it helps and if not then its IV land for me. This last time (currently) they put me on 3 IV meds and kept me taking Zithromax.

I know you said that you get really SOB with Tobi. I had mentioned this to my nurse a few weeks ago and she said to try the Albuterol in the Tobi to open the airways when you do it. I don't know if that would help you or not. It worked for me and maybe you could try it???

Oh and I culture PA almost always.

Unfortunatley I have tried taking the albuterol before during and after the Tobi. It doesn't help. The SOB lasts all day.

Just a thought, if you do want to try the Tobi again- Starting the GSH, adding Magnesium, and, most importantly, doing my Advair 250 before my Tobi has let me use it again. About 6 years ago, Tobi made me so SOB that I had to go in the hospital for IVs, to get it back under control. Now, if I do my Advair before (immediately before) my Tobi, I can tolerate it for at least 21 days. If I miss one time with the Advair though, that round of Tobi is over. Something to ask your dr. about, if you want .
