I've been on orals for so many years some of these arent even available anymore but here's the list.
Oh, also when i go on these now a days it isn't one at a time anymore like it was 8 - 10 years ago, it is now a combo of 3 - 4 or more at a time to help combat the resistance issue.... and also 3 - 4 at a time also creates a synergistic effect....

Chloromycetin (Chloramphenicol)
Dicloxicillin
Ampicillin
Tegopen
Minocycline
Doxycycline
Augmentin
Cefaclor
Ceftin
Bactrim
Biaxin
Clindamycin
Cipro
Levaquin
Tequin
Zithromax
Keflex (edited to add)I just remembered Keflex after seeing someone else mentioning that one.

I think thats it, if i remember anymore i'll let you know, but i think thats it.

It is to control inflammation. They also use Biaxin for that same purpose. I've used Biaxin for inflammation for quite some time now instead of Zithromax.

DS is on Keflex, Zithromax every other day, Septra (sulfatrim) because he cultured Steno Malt and it's resistent to most meds, Tobi.

He's been on augmentin and cipro in the past when he's gotten sick. Doctor mentioned switching his Keflex with something else next time, but I can't recall what it was.

Liza,

I think this is funny... Are these the same docs I had? This was always always their go-to when I was sick... Every time I had a cold I was put on either cipro or augmentin (rotating) for every single cold and now I'm resistant (and have been since high school) to both.
