I think Pulmozyme works best when it has time to sit in the lung and do its job. Doing HTS right after it seems counterproductive. You're basically coughing out the pulmozyme you just inhaled. Isn't better to use the HTS to get out as much junk as possible, then hit it with the pulmozyme? Then the pulmozyme has less mucus to work on and can be more effective. I think that's why there is some logic to Ronnie's doctors telling him to separate it out. This way the pulmozyme has time to work. It's the same logic as inhaled antibiotics - you want them to sit in the lung and do their work. My two cents.

Well I did the HS before the pulmo which was good for me I guess...I didn't cough up much either way so hopefully a few more days of getting it good and in my system and it will start and help.

i do:

xopenex
h.s.

both of the above WHILE vesting.

then:

pulmozyme
colistyn
advair

i don't do the pulmozyme while vesting cause i'd heard with pulmo it should really sit in your lungs to "liquify" things, so i figure if i'm vesting, some of that is being lost with coughing and other pressure from vest. that's just my take on it though.

this is the sequence i've done for years and docs at 3 different centers have ok'd that order for me.
