organization part 2- pills

Do any of you use a 7 day pill organizer?

We have two for each boy- one for AM and one for PM. We refill them each Sunday for the week.

Does anyone know if this is NOT a good idea? Are there any pills that might have a reaction with another or get weird over the week?

Sounds like maybe Amy might know about this.

I think this has been debated depending on the meds taken. Some can not be "mixed" with others to the interaction thingy LOL! I dont know off hand which ones, but definitely some. I personally dont use the organizer so I am limited on knowledge here! AMY>>>>>>

Hi Jane <img src="">

I say it is best not to mix drugs together in the body or in pill boxes. I think it could have a reaction causing sensitivities within the body but this is just my opinion.

I think it would be fine to mix certain vitamins together like B vitamins and minerals separate because they work synergistically. AS far as drugs, I have read on my website that a center told a patient not to put the drugs together. They might have interaction within the body if they touch one another in a pill box.

From what I learned with allergies to foods and drugs, it is not worth mixing.

My pill box has different compartments so I put all the pills in different categores as I take the pills at different times.

The Vitamin shoppe sells huge pill boxes. You can probably separate all pills this way plus you can probably store a good weeks supply.

It is only worth doing all of this if your children take each drug separate from one another. If they take them all together then just continue what you are doing.

We used this 7 day organizer because it was nice, compact, and didn't look ridiculousy medical-ish, which Ry hated.
