OT- Update on friend in Iraq

Here's an update on my friend's husband:

Her husband was in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with a bad chain of command over in Iraq and is now involved in the 3/5 murder investigation.

On their website, www.patriotdefensefund.com is a way to contact him. He is really thriving off of small little notes from people around the U.S. who he doesn't even know, but who are still praying for him. They've even set it up so you can send an email to him to make it easier. If you have the time, please send this family some encouraging words.

I was stationed with his wife, for over a year in San Diego and often took care of their young daughter (just 1 year last month). This is a huge life changing event for them and prayers and some support can really make a difference.

For those of you who have seen this on the news, it's been very breif but the higher chain of command is involved and being investigated as well. It's easy to judge, but please keep in mind...who do you go report things to when your entire chain of command is involved???

Thanks to everyone in advance who can take a few minutes to send some love to this family!

Thanks Amy, I know they will appreciate the support!

I visted your friends site, major props to the family and whoever else was instrumental in that website and the scholarship. It's hard to do something so positive out of a tragedy but they seem so successful.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend.

Yes, that's what he is Jarod. He's 1 of about 3-4 corpsman attached to his marine batallion. He and the other Navy corpsman care for all of the Marines in the batallion. The Marine corps is the only branch of the military that does not have their own medical personnel so we as the Navy personnel augment them. (I'm a corpsman too)
