I got so used to hearing his oxygen machine at night that when he was hospitalized I would turn it on even though he wasn't home.</end quote></div>

Laurie, that is a riot! My husband is a trucker and when he sleeps at home he needs noise, but I have never heard of someone needing to turn on the oxygen like that. lol That is funny!

With regard to taking the O2 on vacation...

I was told getting any sort of O2 generator on a plane is a pain and rarely allowed anyway.

I would check with your O2 company that supplies your lox. Mine, Praxair, is all over the U.S. and has told me that when I travel, all I have to do is call up the local company and let them know I need O2 for XYZ long and they should supply it for that time period. So, maybe see if your company can set something up for you to be delivered to where you are staying. Since you need an Rx for O2 and he is already on it, hopefully San Diego will have somewhere in town that will just accept the transfered Rx from your current company and will get you set up.

Good luck to you...

My youngest son has always shared a room with Cory. Between the middle of the night coughing spells, the sound of the compressor, the last night breathing treatments. I have always said he doesn't know how to sleep when Cory isn't here.

Turning on the o2 machine when you're in the hospital is the sweetest thing I've ever heard!
My concentrator's in the kitchen and it drives my husband NUTS.
