pain in my lungs

I have recently been in the hospital and am now on home iv's... i have been having allot of sharp pain and burning in the lungs... Ive been taking vicodin for the pain... but im just curious what the pain is from and the burning...? Is it all just muscular or is it infection or what?! can anyone help me out on this one?!!!!

Without new testing is hard to say. It could be things moving around, it could be a collapsed lobe, it could be fluid, it could be a reaction to meds....

It could be pleuresy which IMHO is just an UNKNOWN/UNCONFIRMED cause of pain. If the doctor prescribed Vicodin without any other relief I would think its pleuresy.

I hope it eases. When I had fluid (before knowing the cause of pain) I was on percocet then vicodin & that just took the edge off to put me to sleep LOL!
