Painful Detour

I am just giving an update, I am still in the hospital, I spent the last two days in more pain then I ever felt in my life.. ( and I have felt a lot of pain before) I ended up with another illieus and I was partiallly obstructed....

I was in agony. I literally cried for two straight days.. My friends moved into my room last night and slept over with me because I was at my wits end.... and I must have scared them because they slept here with me..

My CF doctor had to call my regular doctor to get them to order a gastrograffen enema for me but it took two days for this process to go through and I spent two days on Dilaudid, throwing up, crying and trying to go the bathroom ( unsuccessfully)

Finally my boss and my other friends raised heck and I got the gastrgrafen enema this morning and finally my intestines are clear..

I did have a pretty high WBC so they are going to not let me eat or drink anything and they are going to do a catscan tomorrow.

My lungs are improving, my CF nurse thinks I need to be on IVS a few more days, I pushed the closing of my house off by a week so that is good...

THank God I have a lot of support, I am kind of embarrassed because I was in so much pain and I cried so hard to so many ppl I work with.. so much for pride.

I will blog more later, I have vistitors walking in my room.....

Oh no...I've had a couple obstructions myself and they ARE NOT FUN!!!

I'm glad things are moving now...what a huge relief. I'm sorry it took them so long to approve a simple procedure.

...May your intestines be a slick as snot...

Don't be embarassed about your crying - you were IN PAIN dang it!!!
Besides, I'm sure they understand!!!

The squeaky wheel gets the grease - cry and complain as long as it takes for someone to get off their azz and push the paperwork, or better yet, just do it and worry about the p/w later. sheesh

my heart goes out to you <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
