paintball fund raiser

I am trying to start a fundraider like the walk for cf. I would like to know how many people would be interested in a paintball fundraiser. It would be a good for any family members above the age of 10 years old. I bring my 11 yr. old nephew all the time. It could be arranged so the games can be 15 minutes long only with a short break in between. Paintball is very safe as long as the field follows set rules.

thanks

Your CFF won't sponsor your event, if you want their backing. CFF wont' take on the liability.

But if you want to do it on your own, I think it would work.

Hey, I'm down. I used to play a lot before I had a kid. My hubby still plays all the time. We've traveled to tournaments and stuff. Lots of fun, but I'll admit it hurts and leaves a hell of a bruise sometimes.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif" border="0">

I spoke to a CFF sponser and they wanted me to research this more. The liability depends on the rules and regulations. I'll admit it wont be for everybody it can sting or leave a welt but a reputable field would enforce saftey. According to insurance suveys paintball is safer than golf. Go figure.

I would do it, and my husband CERTAINLY would! (Maybe I should suggest it to him so I'm not the only one in this house who is doing fundraising...grrrrrrr). I think if you had waivers signed you'd be ok. Why does the CFF have to back you, anyway. We (yes, my husband is in the theater company, too, so I guess that counts) are doing an improv comedy night on our own (The CFF is helping by answering our questions and giving us their mailing list, but other than that we are on our own.) Sorry about all the ( )'s.

I do think you'd have better luck if you got a paintball place to be heavily involved. They already have a steady clientele and marketing strategies. Let them work for you.

Good luck!
