Pancake Feed for Cystic Fibrosis

Last Saturday from 8-10, Applebees opened their doors for the MN/Dakota Chapter of the CFF in Fargo. They provided the space, beverages, pancakes. We had to provide about 15 people to serve, take tickets/cash... And sausage was extra. A grocery store donated a $50 gift cards, so we were able to provide sausage links as well.

We had an excellent turnout. Some families presold tickets for $5, otherwise we took their money at the door. Had some mention in the paper, a grocery store flyer and one of the members of our group mentioned it on the radio.

We did a quick count of the money on Saturday and figured $1,499. Just got an email from our CFF rep and we raised $1,770. Apparently this was one of the most successful pancake feeds yet -- most area groups don't even get up to $1,000. And they've invited us back. Not sure if it was just lucky timing -- people out Christmas shopping or what. Yea!

I should also mention that members from the local roller derby volunteered to be servers as well, which was cool.
