Pancreas

Megan,

I feel what you were told is terrible. The chances of that happening are slim to none. I am 46 with CF, my sister 10 years older than me, we never had a problem with our pancreas. I am diabetic, not sure if that is what they meant, but that could be for other reasons. So many infections over the years, have made my pancreas not work properly. My sister never diabetic. I have many friends with CF, who are my age, older and younger, and I have never heard that their pancreas was destroyed by the time they were 2. Who told you this information? I would blast them for telling such horror stories, and require them to explain themselves and give some stats, and retract that comment. That is so nutty.
