Thanks Girls. I did have my gallbladder removed and I agree...life was much easier once that was out of there! I very rarely get "stomach aches"...I just end up with pancreatitis and it happens quick. I usually don't have any warning. The doc had removed sludge from my duct once before. I will check into the Carbocystiene and the Common Bile Duct blockage...wouldn't hurt.

Thanks again!!!

Kim, are you taking Actigall (Ursidoil) since you had the sludge removed?

Joni- my symptoms started out with a stomach ache (and once you have pancreatitis, you recognize "that" stomach ache right off the bat usually, and it's usually accompanied by the thought "No, no, no, noooooo"- bah), that kind of spread from the lower part of my stomach (actual stomach, not abdomen)and then radiated through to my whole stomach, my back, pretty much my whole midsection through there- from the bottom of my shoulders to the bottom of my stomach- that would leave me wadded up and in the bed, and hunched over and waddling (but trying to move anything and everything as little as possible) to go to the potty, shuffle to the kitchen for water, etc. Similiar to a bad, bad, gallbladder attack, but lasts longer. It sucks.

Joni - Andee just described my attacks to a "T". The only thing I've noticed the last couple attacks is that my body requires more sleep from me during the day. I don't usually take a nap; however, I couldn't make it through the day without a nap for the 5 days previous my last attack. Then I pretty much sleep day and night until it's done. It is much more than your worst stomach ache. Last Friday morning I woke up at 6am, did all my regular morning chores then took my boys off to school. About 830am, it hit! I was in bed within 15 minutes crying! Fifteen minutes later...I was alseep for the day. Driving in a car is a big no no for me. Any movement adds to the pain.

I'm so happy to meet a couple of ladies that can understand me!!! Today is my birthday and I've got a busy "regular day" scheduled. I'll check back in tonight on the message board. Have a great day!
