The other day I was eating mushrooms...and it was awfull, I was naucious for hours after that and my stomach was aching, so now I don't want any more mushroom, which is ironic because the day before that I was telling my boyfriend to buy 2 packets of mushrooms because I loved it so <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">

I had more problems with my stomachs as an undiagnosed CF'er than I did with my lungs. I had every test as a kid and they didnt find anything. I would have bouts of pain so bad I wouldnt eat for weeks. We were in po'dunk nowhere and by the time they would get things resolved and take me to a larger center (half the time we had no insurance and that wasnt even an option) it would be resolved. I now believe I was suffering from pancreatitis as a child for many reasons. I had figured out how to avoid my issues before ever being diagnosed at 21 years of age.

For me I have to have alot of water and my stomach is definately more sensitive to changes than most. I dont like things like pizza etc that are really heavy they weigh down my stomach. I have sense had my gallbladder removed as well.

Interestingly enough my sister, no CF, 16 years old, diabetic since 7, has landed in ICU three times in past 6 months with massive vomiting. They have found she is almost completely blocked bowels. She vomits what looks like spinach juice despite no food consumption. She just got discharged again last week with nothing found they always think its diabets but its not because they have been monitoring more closely and it is independant of blood sugar levels. They also have had her on miralax to keep her bowels more open though not totally successful so we dont think it is that either. They are referring her to a specialist again FINALLY because even with zofran she is vomiting at least once a day. So far they have not been able to catch pancreatitis if it is that.
