pari lc plus bottom connector

So i got a new pari lc plus today, and it came with this connector thingy for the bottom. It fits in the bottom of the nebulizer perfectly, and the only difference is that it has a smaller hole from which the air goes in. Anyone know what it's for? Is it to make the mist smaller? I cant seem to find any documentation for it, and i'm kinda interested what it does.

I would guess it is a quick connect (I have one, but I don't know where it is <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> - go ahead and laugh, Q <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> - or else I would put you up a pic). I do know where my quick connect for my original pari proneb is, if you want a pic...

Here's a pic of my old one. My new one is made of the same stuff as my neb, and instead of having the tubing connecting stem on the side, it has on on the underside. Is this similar to what you are talking about?:
