People need to relax

No but seriously, after reading that dudes post about cf siblings, and Seans totally random post about the highlander (dude I wonder sometimes about you hahahahah), I gotta say...

You people need to chill out sometimes. He was just fooling around. He didn't really take anything away from the forum, he didn't make it a "lets talk about the highlander post"....it was just a stupid comment that was supposed to be left at that.

Julie and jazzy...you did the exact same thing as Sean. Instead of addressing him in another post, you used that one to make your point.

All in all, who the f*ck cares. Last I checked, this wasn't the Nazi cf site....

wow.

I have to second the "relax" movement. Some people
...myself included...like a little levity interjected once in a
while. Sometimes I might not get the joke or think it was ill
timed but on the whole I'd rather a few misguided attempts than
none at all. It's not like anything hurtful was said or
anyone was attacked. And really a lot of threads get off
track so that argument is a little lame. I think you might
try to keep in mind that what you don't like others might enjoy. i
guess i just don't see how it hurts anything. i get some
don't like it but does it hurt anything? There's a lot
of diff. personalities on here, I think some things we just have to
accept and "relax" about.

The internet for me is like a big text version of an etch a sketch. It doesn't amount to anything besides doodling. I have had CF for 35 years. I have contributed a ton here with regards to helping others. I am a very silly person by nature. I find humor in pretty much everything, even my own suffering. I also feel in the grand scheme of things, we (humans) are insignificant. It's best to try and find pleasurable distractions so myself and others don't go insane. I have a few friends here that I get along with real well, and even if they don't appreciate/laugh at everything I type, I know in general they enjoy me being around. Remember, unless I state otherwise, don't take what I say seriously. I am very scatalogical with regards to the things I say (like the highlander reference). I do think there are many people on here who are a tad too serious. Yes we have CF. Yes it sucks. Yes we will probably die from it at a general young age. Our lives are better than millions upon millions of other people on the earth suffering from all kinds of things. Get over yourself and your suffering. When I die, or when you die, the sun will keep shining, and life will go on. Learn to be silly and have fun. Smoke a joint. Drink some beer. Have good sex. Be a hedonist. We are bacteria on a small rock on an endless pebble beach.

I guess this will always be an issue with me. I like humour & sarcasm & I thrive on fun because life gets to serious with my CF. I will never understand the humour & quite often the references that SeanDavis refers to. I try not to say too much when his posts irk me because I realize that there are many that understand & enjoy him. I personally dont. Just like he has the right to insert his comments into different threads & we are suppose to understand or know its meant in humour, I should be allowed to insert my comments of how I feel they are inappropriate. To each his own.........who are the ones getting serious now?

Thats fine Jazzy. It's a forum for open ideas and exchanges of information. Not all of us will get along, and that's cool. I seriously don't mind. Many things are lost in translation on here, as opposed to say hanging out in real life. If some of us who didn't get along on here were to hang out in real life, more than likely we would greatly enjoy our company.

There is nothing wrong with some humor on occasion, but when someone signs on anonymously to have an issue addressed and states to us they are anonymous because of the content of the post, we ought to respect the seriousness of their post. If you ever think about doing something like that to one of my serious posts, you'll greatly regret it... believe me.

Sean, I have a bone to pick with you and this seems the appropriate topic to do so.
You need to grow up!! Maybe that's how you are and it's what works for you, but you have created nothing but animosity on this board since you joined AND IT IS NOT WORKING HERE. I know it's long over, but that stunt you pulled with Allie was just disgusting and pathetic , and it's not the first time that many have had something to say to you about the inappropriateness of your posts. We are not here for your pure entertainment. We are here to help eachother and sure, there are times to be funny, share jokes, make a funny out of a funny post. But you don't seem to have the sense to decipher the two.
Please stop interjecting inappropriately on serious posts. The most recent one, "my boyfriend and I don't have this problem" was just absurd. Can you even imagine the kind of guts it might take a young CFer to post a question like that. And then you come along with your moronic, idiotic statements and possibly scare them off. That's not the purpose of this board and if that's your entire point of being here, maybe you ought not to be.

As for you Ender, You always seem to jump in on crap like this after you haven't been on this board for weeks, or even months. I suggest that you do a little research on the crap that Sean has created lately before you "get his back". I made it clear and apologized to the intial poster for going off topic. Sure, it doesn't make it right. But it's much more decency than Sean showed when he kept repeating his stupid highlander sentence. AND, I'm not going to create a topic just to address Sean, it appears he lives for that kind of stuff. It's just going to keep getting reported to the moderators, that's all.

Julie....like i read your posts and i can feel the hostility...

Yes, i make a comment as a regard to that one topic, but regardless of the past, i think i was justified in the sense that he writes one silly comment, and you guys accuse him of taking away from the topic....more than once....in the same same freaking thread? Just seemed contradictory.

No wonder he just laughs it off....listen to you guys. Instead of being somewhat sane....I an literally see the steam come off the post that you guys write.

Just relax. If you had a problem...talk to him POLITELY and maybe with a little bit of humility...rather than raging wolves.

Deep breaths people....

I got your point Julie, it was duely noted a while back. I get it. You don't like me, and I am 100% fine with that. I will sleep quite well tonight. I don't see how throwing threats around from one user to another is going to do anything but bog things down further. I hate to break it to you, but you and I are both users of a message board. As long as someone doesn't start posting pics of tubgirl or other surely bannable content, we have the right to express ourselves. Do you realize (now stop and think a second), that you are frothing at the mouth...Over a comment goof on the movie Highlander? Come on now. The admin runs the site, and bill is the IT guy. You contribute, I contribute. If you personally don't like the content of something that I say, and it doesn't breach the rules. Well, so solly!

Someone had a thread about how him and his brother both have CF, and they treat their diseases completely differently (one apparently negative, the other positive), and was asking different stuff related to that. I made a quick reference to the movie Highlander, and how "There can be only one", and Pompei apparently erupted and killed 30,000 people.

I'm actually on Sean's side here, free speech lover that I am. I don't like that we can threaten each other with banning just for being off topic. A lot of people post things that don't have much or anythign to do with CF.

Hey, no one is going to like everything you do. Some people will hate all of it.

Sean, I don't understand probably somewhere up near half of what you say. And I've thought maybe one or two things were "inappropriate." Several people here, I know, can't stand me, don't like the things I say, find me rude and inappropriate and blah blah blah, etc. Fill in more negative adjectives here _______.

You could be outright calling people dum*sses or d***che bags, or again, fill in negative adjective here ________. You may throw in random stuff here and there, and say some stuff that doesn't seem to make sense, but I really don't think you're doing anything wrong.

Oh, and for reference, the thing with Sean and Allie... I worried too. I read it before class, and worried about Allie all day until I talked to her that afternoon and heard from her that it wasn't nothing to worry about. And I still don't hold it against either of them.

I'm with Kiel, some people need to chill the hell out. If you have a big d*mn beef about something, write it in your blog, like I did. It still blew up my face, but I put it somewhere that made sense. My personal space.

You are right about my hostility Ender. Go back to CF2 chat and create problems there... not here please. If you have something to contribute, please do so. But if not, quit coming to Sean's rescue. This is the 2nd time in the last few weeks you have done so.
And before you open your mouth, get your stuff straight Ender. He didn't just "write one silly comment" as you stated. It is repetative and has been ongoing for weeks now. I am not the only one who has pointed this out to Sean. And I won't quit pointing it out to him until he stops his rampages across this board. It's been addresed politely on numerous occasions and he isn't curbing his inappropiate posts. I'm done being nice, and right now, I'm not a very nice person. I am pregnant with triplets and have hormones x3 flying around in me. So watch out!

Sean, you make good points sometimes, you have had some hillarious jokes and shared some interesting things with all of us. It's what you do on this forum, moreso lately than EVER before that I don't like. Instead of posting about things that might help all of us, or just sharing about what's going on with YOU and sharing your jokes at appropriate times, you are wreaking havoc on everyone elses postings when it's NOT THE PLACE. Sometimes jokes and silly comments are appropriate on others posts, but not all the time. And as I stated before, you can't seem to decipher the two.

Here's my philosophy on things: WHEN ONE OR A FEW PEOPLE GIVE YOU FEEDBACK... OK. WHEN A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE GIVE YOU FEEDBACK, THE UNIVERSE IS TALKING TO YOU AND YOU OUGHT TO LISTEN. Sean, I am only 1 of about 35 other people on these boards who feel this way. Many have spoken up and said something to you, many have not. Maybe you ought to consider the feedback that is being given to you.

And Allie, I'm all for free speech. There comes a point when people tell you, "hey, please don't do this or do that on my post" and if you don't respect it, you are just rude. Additionally, there's no place on a VERY SERIOUS natured post for humor-if you want some comedy, start your own post but not on one where someone says, "im signing on as anon. because I am embarassed about this question...". Any educated person can see that. That's my point here. Nobody is being threatened to be banned, it's not something any of us have power over.

Sean, there are times on here where I ve been slightly ticked about what you orsomeone else has said, but you have also made me laugh when I have most needed it. Not everything that is said by anybody will make everybody laugh. Personally I like to laugh, rather than cry, rofl, so bring it on! I agree with ender, everyone needs to chill a bit, lol. Go with the floowwwwwwwww
