Photoshop HELP!!!!!

OK, I found out I've got PSE4.0, but it shouldn't be that much different.

I saw no other way than to use the layering for what you are looking for.

I started out in the starndard editor, and clicked the icon for a new page, nothing on it. Then I opened up three photos to paste in that area. The photos were all seperate, and the only way to combine them was to go to the tab at the bottom of the editor, click the tab and use the rectangular Marquee tool to select them
From there, I selected copy (from the edit menu), then I went back to the blank page, opened up new space using the Rectangular Marquee, again.
From there, I clicked the paste (from the edit menu) and the photo automatically popped up there.
(I was doing all this one handed while my new bird, Chili, was eating from my hand, sometime biting the hand lol)
I can use the Move Tool to resize the photos that I pasted, and move them around any way I wish. One word of caution, is that the layers take priority over each other, so one will overlap the other (because it's like laying a stack of photos on top of each other), so by rearranging the layers, you can have them pretty much show up without cutting the other one off.
As for printing it, you may need to specify your work area for the photo size before you do the layering, though I was able to do it afterwards and the preview to the printout looked ok (didn't have the time or paper to print)

With all this detail, I do hope its describing what you wanted to do. If not, we'll try again tomorrow?

Hey Julie

I LOVE photoshop!

Try these two websites for support:

http://www.photoshopsupport.com/
http://www.planetphotoshop.com/

Now I will see if I can help you

I saw thet Fred gave you some instructions but I didn't read it so don't mind me if I say it twice haha!

What you want to do is open each individual picture as a seperate jpeg (or gif depends on what your files are) file in PS. Then open a NEW documet with the parameters you want (size of the sheet, pixels etc). Then go to each picture and select the whole thing (rectangle that is dotted) and click on move (black arrow with a + sign) and move it to the new sheet. You want to make sure the new document and the pictures all have the same resolution (ie 72 or 100 pixels). If they don't the sizes will all be messed up! You can do this with each picture and a seperate layer will open for each picture on the new sheet. You can rename these to your picture names if you want. Also, depending on what you want to overlay depends on where the picture is in the layers list. You can rearrange these until they are how you want. Then when you have it all done go to
duplicate and duplicate the file so you can flatten the imgae to make it smaller and save it as a jpeg for easy printing

Hope that wasn't too confusing
