Let's see, i went down to 10mg every other day last summer and yeah i had the same problem where i would do things and have no memory whatsoever about it at all. I am sure it is a lot worse for you being on so much, i can't even imagine. my memory now is better but it just feels like sometimes i am in a fog and totally forget what i am supposed to do. i am a teacher and my kids will tell my something and i will have no memory of it one hour later. also, i have left my purse at restaurants twice in two months because i have totally forgotten about it! writing this, i have already forgotten what you asked me in the last post. wow, that is pathetic of me<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
i'm sure there are natural remedies out there that might help for it, i haven't tried any because i never have any success with them. but it will get much better. i don't have nearly, if any, total blackouts where i don't remember anything. but at least we both know there is at lease one (probably much more) with the same problem!
also though, i feel like whenever i am having anything odd with me my doctor says that it must be because of the predinsone...

Yeah I too thought she was talking about cutting off her arm, but then read on to see what was meant.

Anyway, Jennifer as for your arm it could be a blood clot. I have had one before and it can be really painful even when the line is out so you may want to look into that. My docs had an ultrasound done on me to find it and then I had to be on blood thinners for months. It wasn't fun but at least it was treatable. As for the prednisone I did not have that type of experience at all but of course I was only on 40 mgs at a time and I never went every other day. I just cut done little by little until I was at 5mgs for a few days and then 2.5mgs. If you have been on it for so long why are they taking you off now? Just wondering. Good luck with everything and I hope that you can find out what is going on.

Hi

You guys are so funny

My arm is much, much better... so thanks for all your input... Really I didn't do anything to make it better...I noticed it didn't hurt when I left church last night..and then all day today it was better.. as well.. The area has softened up and isn't as hard as it was... and the tenderness is almost completly gone...so that is all good stuff..

I am not comming completly off the prednisone.. I am cutting it way back down to my base dose.. and I am having a bit of trouble with that... My memory is really bad.. I don't remember being in the hosptial or anything really.. but it is better than it was.... and today was my best memory day yet...so I believe it was just temporary and that I am back on the mend....

I hope so.. not remembering things really bothers me a lot......

Thanks for your thoughts...
