I'm so sorry you are going through this. I don't have much advice as I'm "a mom", my son has CF. I am pretty sure your brother is going to have to WANT to get better himself. I don't know where you live, but is there someone you can talk to? Maybe the social worker at the hosptial (if you have one), or even just a friend? It might help you deal with what you are going through or how to possibly help (if nothing else).

Again, I'm sorry...please keep in touch.

I went through a virtually identical situation in high school. I was sick, depressed, and wanted nothing more than to be normal. I was very lax about my treatments to the point where I would refuse to take my enzymes so nobody would know I was different. My FEV1 is total crap as a direct result of my rebellion. I can't do many of the things I wish I could do with the limited time I have left.

Put him on here and send me a private message.

There is not really anything you can do. Eventually he will become more involved in his health. I think most of us went through a phase where we were defiant, some how thinking that by not doing our meds it made us normal when in fact is just made us sick.

He is be in my thoughts and prayers.
