Pleurisy itself it not contagious. However, it is normally caused by an infection such as pneumonia or TB, but not always.

<br />So the underlying infection your boss has probably already exposed you to is likely a problem, but not necessarily the pleurisy itself.
Tom is right. Pleurisy is really some kind of 'irritation' of the pleura. Usually caused by a bacterial or viral infection. So, while you can't really catch pleurisy, you can ofcourse catch the infection.

Wasn't quite sure what it was. She's had a nasty cold and chest infection from about November but still been at work as we're really busy. Thankfully i've avoided catching anything so fingers crossed it'll stay that way.
