They start them right from when they are kids. Emily got her first one this yr.
Without a chronic health condition you generally don't need one until you are age 65+ or live in a nursing home-type environment.
IMO, for anyone whose cf dr says it's not needed but internist/primary care dr says yes... I'd have the internist do it! It will only help you; your cf dr is not the only one that can give you good medical advice, kwim?
