What's the verdict on anti-bacterial soap though? I heard antibacterial soaps and gels can actually kill off "good" bacteria - does anyone know if there's any truth to that? Someone also said they don't use antibacterial soap to wash their nebs - I think it might have been AnD?? not sure, but would love more info on this if anyone knows.</end quote>

It was me! I just don't use it because all of my daughter's paci's, bottle nipples, etc. said not to use antibacterial soap with them (apparently, the antibacterial stuff can be absorbed into the silicone and/or plastic, and then leach out if I remember right) so I just don't use it with my nebs, just in case . I figure boiling them ought to pretty much kill all those menacing little boogers.... .
I also read about he antibacterial soap killing off the "good" bacteria a few years ago, and quit using it, too, in both the kitchen and the bathroom. I figure that if a surface is really nasty germy, I can wipe it down with alcohol, clorox wipes, etc.
It can be kinda hard to find though, but I saw more and more of the scented handsoaps last time I looked that didn't say "antibacterial".
Thanks for the warning, Terri- I would have never thought about a toddler eating that stuff!
