Port Questions

I want to thank everyone so far that has shared their port stories. It gives me a lot to think about. My last picc took three tries and my arm killed me for the entire time I was on IVs. I will mention it to my doc if I have a hard time my my next picc. I haven't been on IVs very many times but it seems like I cannot place a picc in any of my veins more than once. So I am quickly running out of veins to use.

I would love to continue hearing other's experience with their port. Thanks!

PS I love the pictures. I never even knew what a port site looked like.

i would send you a pic of mine but there is nothing to look at besides a scar. mines a low profile one and its very deep. makes accessing time interesting. but at leasy its not visible and has a lot of cushioning. nothing worse than a port with not enough fat and skin over it.

I couldnt agree more with Kybert, I will be asking for mine to be a bit deeper next time, live and learn.
