Post Nasal Drip

When I am on ABX, I hardly cough, then the minute (well I am sure its longer than that...lol) I come off of it, I start coughing again. It is mostly when I lay in a certain position on the couch or in bed. It is frustrating! I also have been having more pain and congestion in my sinuses. I know I need surgery again soon and I have it tentatively scheduled, but what can I do in the meantime?

I was just on Zyvox, so that is pretty out of the question as I do not think it would work this time around. Bactrim and Cipro are also out of the question. I think most of my problem is MRSA since the Zyvox does have some effect on my symptoms.

Oh and btw...I do sinus rinses twice a day mixed with pulmicort, and I also take 600 mgs motrin. If any of you use Tobi in your sinus rinses...please tell me more about it.

Please give me some suggestions! Thanks!

I use peppermint essential oil or eucolyptus essential oil, just a bit smeared on. DON'T put it in your nose, just on the outside, and underneath. It can feel like it is 'burning' if your skin is raw. I like the feeling myself... but i am weird.

Don't have cf, but do have sinus issues. I've found using Dr. Bonner's peppermint castile soap in the shower or to wash my face seems to help. You can find it at health food stores.
