Power outages!

Our power was out for over 5 days last winter. We ended up going to the library which got power back within the day to do Lili's pulmozyme. In our town you can also register with the fire department if you have medical needs - I'm not sure what it gets you but it may be worth looking into.

Amy last research I saw showed that they cant 'prove' its right but the criterion lined up pretty well. Do you have somethign more recent.

I'd have to say I will use the trek s when power is out, beats nothing in my book so I do go out to my car and then use acapella--same thing I do if camping really

it might look a bit funny sittin in my driveway but OH WELL!

This is just my wild guess, <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> , but I think it may get you checked on, and possibly moved to a shelter/location where you can have electricity for you medical devices? Someone brought this up the other day, and if I wasn't located directly behind a nursing home (therefore, our lines in our neighborhood are a top priority, apparently, despite the big honking generator at the nursing home we get to listen to when the power goes out...), I would have checked into it. I will be if we move somewhere more rural one day, but a generator really helps (saves all that food in the 'fridge, too <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ).

We (Our subdivision, since we're all on the same grid) get priority repair in short term outages and in a long term outage (which we have not exoerienced yet) they provide us with a gas generator. The conbination of the vest, nebs and feeding tube got us on the "first served" list. We became pretty popular with the neighbors when the lights came back on in our subdivision several hours before the subdivision across the street!
