Prednisone Dosage Question

Ok-thank you! That makes me feel much better. I always hate starting new stuff, or higher doses of stuff-so this makes me feel better! I have had 2 severe allergic reactions (although I know prednisone won't give me one) to drugs (sulfa and augmentin-ER visits) and I'm scared! But-I guess its all part of CF!

I do not have CF. I have MS. I recenttly had an 'episode' where many parts of my body were going numb. I was put on 1250 mg of prednisone of 7 days and then did a taper.

Yes, you read it correctly... 1250mg. I took it all at once in the morning.

Being on prednisone is not the tough part. Coming off it is harder.

60mg may give you some side effects (racing heart, irritableness, increased appetite). I hope it does its job and makes you feel better. It helped me.

Wow! 1250! So I guess I shouldn't feel nervous about my 60 mg. I haven't had any problems coming off of it before...so hopefully I won't this time. Thanks so much for the information.

i dont have cf but i have ALOT of breathing problems, i actually just got done taking 60miligrams of prednisone for a week and i took it all at once, i think you will be ok! =)
