The doc put me on a 3 day course of Prednisone.

I took my first dose around 2:00 pm. Had to be at work at 3:00pm. By 3:30 I was walking around feeling like I was "floating". I could not concentrate, and felt like I was "in a dream". I kept dropping things and felt dizzy. I was also having hot flashes and just overall felt terrible.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had this side effect on Prednisone?

I guess normal for one person may not be normal for another.

I have taken Prednisone many times, it never does that to me.
Plus when I take it, it is for atleast a week depending on the first
days dose,then it is redused 5mg each day until finished.

Prednisone always helps me to breathe and it makes me a bit warm
in the face and for some reason,both of my biseps get hot.

Ofcourse I eat like a horse as well.... But it has never made me feel
dizzy. What was the amount of Your first dose ?

Seana, I am on it quite frequently and have never had that problem..you might consider it to be one of the other meds you are taking...I cant remember what all you were prescribed, but it may be one of them. Good luck in finding the culpret.

Thank you very much for the advice!

After reading your posts I decided to go off the the Durihist to see if that is what was making me feel so weird. It was! I am feeling much better and am on my last day of the Prednisone.
