Pregnancy and FEV1

What was everyone's average FEV1 when you considered pregnancy? I am 34 and my FEV1 is 44%, but I have been sick lately. My pre sick FEV1 was 67%. I am scared and don't know if I should continue with considering carrying a pregnancy. Any info will be appreciated.

When I first considered pregnancy, my FEV1 was 73%. After 3.5 years of trying, my FEV1 dropped to 64%. I currently am not trying, and my FEV1 is 57% (but I'm sick). My CF doctor said that a FEV1 of 60% was the cutoff for me...

Edited to Add: Some doctors say 60% while others say 50%!

I gave you my few point. IMHO you need enough room for any sickness, progression & whatever raising a child (not counting pregnancy now) takes out of you!

I was not considering pregnancy when I got pregnant. I was actually considering transplant (double lung and liver). Brady was a complete surprise and I only had 40% lung function when I found out that I was 9 weeks pregnant. The doctors told me to terminate the pregnancy because of my lung function and because I was being evaluated for the transplants. They said that my lung function was way too low to carry a baby and that there were so many things that could go wrong. I told the doctors that I had to at least try and if something went wrong, I knew that they had to take the baby and save me. I went ahead with everything and Brady was born through c-section 7 weeks early but he was perfectly fine.

Am I saying that everyone should do this? No. I am just saying that it is possible. However, I have been told by many that I am a strong willed person and will not let anything stand in my way when I want something.
