Pregnancy Poll

I am taking IV Tobra and was also told that Cipro was a no-no for pregnancy. My perinatologist acted like IV Tobra was fine, because only 25% passed to the unborn baby, as long as I wasn't given toxic doses.

Loulou,
Everything I find seems to correlate with the fact that TOBI IV is a class D. This concerns me greatly, and my doctor had mentioned that if TOBI IV doesn't work, I could try Colistin. In looking up info about Colistin there seems to be a lot of conflicting data. Safefetus.com said colistin was a class B, while another website claimed it was a class D. What website do you use to check the classes of drugs? I really would like to advocate for my baby, but want to be sure that I am giving the most safe drug to my baby.

I have been doing so much research trying to decide what is best for my baby. Anyone who can help with this, I would truly appreciate it. On drugs.com, Colistin (colistimethate sodium) is rated a class C. On Safefetus.com, colistin is rated a class B. On Drugsafetysite.com, Tobra is rated a C, but on Safefetus.com, Tobra is rated a D. Why is there so much conflicting info? Where is the best place to find accurate drug info?
Thanks! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
