Hi all,
I am 15 weeks pregnant and very interested in the pregnancies of other women with CF. If you have been pregnant and would like to participate, I think this would be really helpful for those already pregnant or considering pregnancy. Only answer the questions you feel comfortable asking. Here are the questions and my answers.
# of pregnancies: 1
FEV1 prior to pregnancy: 83
lowest FEV1: 67 so far
FEV1 post: NA for me
CFRD: yes--my reason for asking this is because I've heard that it frequently causes preterm labor
preterm labor: NA
weight of child at birth: NA
uterine bleeding/spotting: yes--Am I the only one?
# of IV treatments during preg: 1 so far
IV drugs: Vancomycin, Ceftazidime, TOBI (inhaled)
time it took to conceive: 13 years
weight gained during pregnancy: -1 pound so far
Anything else you want to add: THANKS FOR TAKING PART! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

preterm labor: had morgan at 36 weeks and 4 days
weight of child at birth: 6 lbs. 4 oz.
uterine bleeding/spotting: no

drugs: pulmozyme, HS, zithromax
time it took to conceive: 10 mths, weren't trying, but that's how long i had been off of birth control

CFRD: Yes, I have had CFRD since I was 18 years old and it did get worse around 5 months pregnant
preterm labor: no - scheduled c-section at 39 weeks 2 days (baby was breech)
weight of child at birth: 7 pounds 5 ounces
uterine bleeding/spotting: Yes - at 14 weeks I had a lot of bleeding, and it turns out for some uknown reason I had a blood clot in my uterus... it went away on its own after 4 weeks of bed rest.

IV drugs: Aztreonam, Zosyn
time it took to conceive: 8 months
weight gained during pregnancy: 25 pounds but now i weigh less than i did before i got pregnant! Only by a few pounds.
