Prenatal diagnosis - is one safer than the other?

I don't know enough about it to understand why, sorry. Steve from Ambry genetics might be able to tell you which is more reliable, a CVS or Amnio. I believe the Amnio is.

Another option is to test the cord blood at birth. We did that too because I was diagnosed with CF later in my pregnancy. You can order a collection kit and forms from Ambry ahead of time and put it in your hospital bag. The waiting is very hard emotionally though, so genetic testing with CVS or amnio is a great idea.
