I have a $5,000 deductible but my company gives me a $1,500 HRA. after I meet my deductible they cover 80% of my formulary meds & 50% of my non formulary but I only pay $8 for generics. Pulmozyne is non-formulary but TOBI has thankefuly just been moved to formulary. my premium is $196 month. My daughter takes several other meds so total with dr's visits because that's a $45 copay for a specialty doc (which the CF doc is) & a $22 copay for regular docs so all together I pay anywhere from $550-700 in copays a month, it depends on if shes on tobi or not & I also pay monthly for my vest. If I didn't have my mom helping me pay some months we would be in BIG trouble but im living with my grandma to help with cost also

I don't know how much my premium is, I'm still on mom's insurance. But I know for meds I pay about $100 a month. And the copays are pretty small. I just have a lot of crap to buy.

And this is why health care is #1 on my list when choosing a new president!

Each month I spend:

$89.44 for Advair
$30.00 for Hypertonic Saline
$35.00 for Pulmozyme (however last year they changed brand name drugs to be covered at only 50%, so my monthly cost for pulmozyme was $350!). Luckily this year they changed it back.
$100 a month towards my vest (13 months left)
$50 a month towards my premium (through work).

This doesn't include my copay of $30 and my deductible of $1000.00. Also-each time I go to the CF center, because it is in a hospital, they charge me a $75 room charge. So my bill just to see the doctor, etc, is $200.00. Which is not bad in the whole scheme of things...but we just can't afford it!
