Kevin.....I don't know why it never occurred to me that my mail-order pharmacy would have an automatic refill system and website. I just looked into it...and of course they do. That won't work for everything; but, it a really good start for me. Thanks! I like the ical idea too for some other things!! I knew you guys would have some good answers You all always do.

If you have Windows, using the calender that comes with the operating system will work too... programming in anything as an 'event' (in this case the meds) gives you the option for 'reminders' to be scheduled whenever you want. (I also like this program because you can have events on the calender for multiple family members, all color coded individually.)

It's not the simplest program out there but once you know how to use all the functions (especially if you have more than one person's appts and other stuff to keep track of) it's a good program w/ good options you can tailor to your own preferences.

BTW, this is Vista. Windows XP had a good calendar too, but with somewhat less functionality as this one.

Another great program is the google calendar. www.google.com/calendar

You can put events in the calendar and google will email you reminders about the events. It's actually safer than iCal or Outlook because if your HD crashes, you won't lose the data!

Google will only email you to your gmail account, though. But if you don't have a gmail account, you should get one anyway... it's a way better email program
