What's with the private topics...can someone explain

I can tell it's only visible for user names. That's all I have.

LisaV explained elsewhere. Basically it's a topic anyone can make that you can specify who can see it. So I can write a topic to Debbie and Allie and Jennifer and Liz (or any combination of people) that only they can see. Try writing one, it makes it a little clearer and easier to understand.

Hmm, so i started to do a practice run one but I can't find a lot of people, can't find Emily or Allie or a few others?

I think its the same thing as private messags. It was on the left part of the screen on the old site.

As I understand it, a private message is something for only one person.
A private topic can be targeted at a goup of people.
