I use a synbiotyc called Pro Bio Balance from Cali Vita. Joanna likes it and seems to help. Its like a sugar pill a kid can chew or suck. It's not covered by insurance but I'm not from U.S.

I take BioGaia which is what my CF dr recommends for me. They come in chewable pill or a straw that you break off in water and drink. They have 100 million probotics in it... There web site is www.gut-health.com ... I use to take diffrent things to get my probotics but since giving this product I can say I have never felt better. I have had no gut problems since strating this. It is NOT covered by insurance but it isnt exspensive either one month supply is around $30.00... If you want some samples before you buy pm me and I will send you a few..

My son is 2. We use Culterelle, Sustenex, and Florastor. We started adding Florastor after he started augmentin and we noticed the stool odor diasappeared. Then, on the last round of antibiotics, we added Sustenex. The stool is now solid and normal! My son has never had oily stools, but they were fould smelling and kind of mushy. No more!I truly believe probiotics will be a standard of care for CF in the future. After hearing what they have done for us, our CF doc has made them part of our cf care plan
