Sometimes I just pray for a day of getting crap out because I think I would feel so much better!!!!</end quote>

My cough has always been very productive. Usually when I am sick it turns non-productive and I know something is wrong because I feel it in there and just can't get it out.

The weird thing is ...if I start eating onion pieces, I can get it to become productive again.

I usually have a productive cough. When I'm getting sick, it gets worse in the mornings. I know I am really sick when I feel gunky, but the regular amount (or less) is coming up, and may even turn into a dry cough. Occasionally, after a really good iv clean out, I will have an almost dry cough for a while-which is a good thing for me. I've always had a productive cough for the most part.
