Project Send Tom to Medical School

Ok, just venting for a minute. I can't believe that everything I've done in the last 18 months to prepare for getting into medical school comes down to tomorrow morning.
At 8AM tomorrow I take a single, 5.5hr test, the results of which I won't have for a month and those results will most likely decide whether I get into medical school at 36, or go back to my career in management.
I just doesn't seem fair that one test should have this much influence on someones life, and I'm a basketcase at the moment which is VERY abnormal for me.
Ok, done venting....back to your regularly scheduled programming

T-14 hours to MCAT

Well it is done!

Took me right at 4:15 to take. Thought the verbal reasoning (reading comprehesion on steroids) and writing samples were easy. The Physics/GenChem tough and the biology section was brutal!

Now I wait, the scores are not released for 30 days so I won't know until late June how I did.

T-14 hours to MCAT

Ok, haven't updated in a while.

The test went well, and I did better than I hoped.

At this point I have completed all my applications (19 schools) and am in the waiting game.

I have two interviews scheduled: UK on 10/1 and a school in Phoenix on 10/17.

Hopefully I will get a couple of interviews closer to home in the coming weeks; but there is NO way to know until it happens so for now I wait......and wait.....and wait.....

Keeping my fingers crossed!!! The MCAT's are brutal from what I understand, so happy you have some schools in mind. Hoping you get in, you would be a wonderful asset to the medical community

I am a firm believer that good things happen to good people and you have been a true inspiration throughout this past year, while my daughter remains in diagnostic limbo. Your direct replies to my questions and info I learn from your other posts are always informative and tactful. You are in my preyers.
