hey all...

I was having some weird fever issues not too long ago that I talked to my cf team about. They checked my last culutre and the nurse I was talking to said something about my pseudomonas culture...I've NEVER cultured this before. I know it's quite a bug, but, what do you feel like when you have it or it flares up? I've been feverish and really short of breath doing things I'm normally not. Could it be the PA or is it just my asthma and I'm psyching myself out?

any thoughts would be great...I have a doc appt. tomorrow.

I've had P.A. since I was about 15, and I'm now 32. It's never made me feverish, so I'm not sure if that has any relation to the P.A. P.A. does cause flareups sometimes. I am currently in the hospital trying to get my MRSA and PA under control. I am also 5 months pregnant, so dealing with that issue as well. From the time I was 15 until about 24, I had no lung flareups with my PA, and was treated with Cipro orally for sinus infections. For seven of the last 8 years, I've been in the hospital 1-2 times a year treating PA, as well as MRSA. I got the MRSA about 7 years ago. For one year, I was PA free after participating in an Aztreonum (inhaled) drug study. Of course, since I'm pregnant, I cannot participate any longer, and it grew back two months ago. Hope this helps.
