I have had hemoptysis on and off since I was 18 yrs old. I had one lobe removed at 19 and the rest of my left lung removed 8 yrs ago both times because of chronic severe bleeds.

I have been on Pulmozyme for the past 6 years and have only found it to be helpful. I have not had more than a teaspoon of bleeding from time to time since my last surgery 8 yrs ago. The last time I bled (1 teaspoon) was 6 months ago (I had to look up the date in a journal I keep since it has been a while<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">).

So for me pulmozyme has not be something that has aggravated bleeding and I also believe that HS (which I started 13 months ago) has been helpful in the long run with keeping my remaining lung healthier too.
