Pulmozyme and Xopenex arrived warm

Okay, it was 105 today, and when my Pulmozyme and Xopenex order arrived, I opened it and was greeted with a faceful of warm/hot air from inside the cooler. So I think- this is not good...

So I take out the Xopenex- very warm. And the silver insulated bag with the Pulmozyme in it- not cold inside. The freezer packs are thawed. I open a Pulmozyme box- not cold.

So I rush around for 5 mins searching for my infrared thermometer <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> , and the temp for the Xopenex is 95 F. The Pulmozyme is 84 F. The freezer pack is at 74 F.

And this is at 7pm in the evening...

I contacted the pharmacy and left them a message (it's after hours, of course), but has this ever happened to anyone? What did you do?

we had UPS lose a package with pulmozyme in it last summer during a heat wave. I called CF services pharmacy and they contacted UPS who found it and delivered it the next morning. Luckily ours was still cold, but CF services told me to check it when it arrived and if it was warm they'd send out another shipment right away and they would deal with UPS.

I'd call them again first thing in the morning and get the ball going so you can get a replacement.

Thanks! I have had a delayed shipment before (they- cf services- told me to refuse it when it showed up that time), but never one like this. I will call them again in the morning- from clinic....

Ugh, I once had a pharmacy student leave the pulmozyme sitting out for two days and then try to tell me they'd just unpacked it from the transport cooler.

With CF services, tobi always arrived cool. Our problems stemmed with them telling us it was sent, we'd be waiting for it and it wasn't. So we'd have delay starting DS's tobi.
